Feel yourself an artist with the cat coloring pages

Welcome to my free cat coloring pages. This is the easy way to feel yourself an artist. Just print the pdf file and off you go :-) It's the first stage of many of my watercolours. See the instructions below if you would like to try taking these further with watercolours as well.

Besides the realistic cat coloring pages you will find here also the fancy paper doll cat Proserpina. Perhaps she can help you to have a bit of fun with your children. My daughter Alexandra loves when we do arts and crafts together. And I love it too. It makes us a bit closer. I'm sure she will remember this time with fondness and I am eager to create those happy memories for her.

You can color the print itself with the color pencils or felt tips or you can try to have a go at the watercolour image by transferring it on to the watercolor paper.

Here is how to do it:

1) Trace the image that you have printed out on to the tracing paper (alternatively you can print straight onto the tracing paper itself.)

2) Turn the tracing paper on the other side and tone with the HB pencil the areas which have drawing underneath.

3) Now turn the tracing paper back and put it on top of the watercolor paper sheet. Stick it together with the blue tack

4) Now trace the picture once again. Because you have toned the back side of tracing paper with the pencil it will reproduce the cat's outline on the watercolor paper.

5) Look underneath the tracing paper often to make sure you have transferred all the details. When the outline is complete remove the tracing paper and go over the image on the watercolor paper comparing it to the original printout or the image on the computer screen, correcting it or making it more clear as you go along.

Warning: In order to open .pdf file you need to have Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. Alternatively you can use Foxit - great little program for dealing with pdfs that I use. Very pleased with them.

Another word of warning: My coloring pages resolution is big. It is necessary to produce quality, enjoyable prints. But it also means a longer download time. So please be patient with the files. It's worth it!

There's more coming soon. You are welcome to sign up for the Grazia Felina lovingly compiled once in a while to tell the news to all our friends.
