Sweet cat art from the past - charming world of the vintage cat graphics

Here is something special - the vintage cat graphics - cat art from the past. How sweet and innocent that age seems today. Although it most certainly wasn't so simple I prefer to think about it this way. It's my great escape.

For example this touching trio at the top. It's not all pink but the touch of turquoise and bright yellow on the bows of the kitties accentuates the warmth of the pink shades. It feels delicious, don't you think?

Once again soft purplish boudoir colors and a sweet subject - two kittens discovered the toy Punch and now trying to make sense of it. Instantly recognizable Punch make the scene truly vintage. Today's young cats are probably equally puzzled by the Barbie dolls or probably even more so about robots-transformers. Urrrh! Hope they won't find the way into my Sasha's toy box.

Here is another close encounter. Fresh spring greens. I can almost feel the fresh country air and hear birds twittering somewhere near by. What an idyllic setting for four little cats to discover this world. I don't think that they will allow this beetle to proceed about his own business uninterrupted, do you?

And how do you like the touching romantic scene below?

H
ere is another one of undoubtedly vintage cat graphics. Nowadays smoking got so much out of fashion that no artist in his or her clear mind would imagine promoting so sweetly such harmful habit :-)

This scene I used many times myself in my own cat art. It is so true to life and full of inner movement. I have stumbled into this idea completely independently and was surprised to discover later on that it is a bit of an eternal theme in the cat art. This cat seems to be taking the flying object quite mildly, like a philosophical observer rather then a young predator.

Ooh, serenading cats. The little white cat seems to be a singer. I know that town folk songs of the romantic nature accompanied on the guitar used to be very popular the Victorian times. Maybe these cats are indulging in one of those. Or maybe they are into the more sophisticated harmonies judging by the presence of the sheet music.

This vintage cat graphics page has been created to enhance you experience of the Cat Art Garden. Please don't take them away from here. I find these images really heart warming. They have been generously donated to our Cat Art Club by the very kind lady from Canada, Tanna Mayer. Thank you, Tanna, hope to see you here often.

More vintage cat graphics will be added here in the future. Please keep checking or why not to subscribe to the Grazia Felina, Cat Art Garden's lovingly compiled newsletter which I send out once in a while to tell the news to all our friends.
If you are fond of the vintage cat graphics you might enjoy looking at the back issues here.
